Best Audio-Visual brand 2013: LG
LG is recognised at Which? Magazine’s 2013 Awards ceremony ahead of competition from rivals Samsung and Sony
LG has picked up a significant gong, named Best Audio-Visual brand at the 2013 Which? Awards.
This is the first time the company has won this title, and comes as a result of Which?’s independent investigations, surveys and tests. The accolade follows a particularly impressive audio-visual period from the brand, after receiving widespread acclaim for LG’s 32LM620 Smart TV, NB2520A Soundbar and BP620 Blu-ray Player.
David Holes, principal researcher in the Which? technology team, says: “This year LG has snatched the audio-visual crown from its South Korean rival Samsung. LG has a great Best Buy strike rate – the percentage of products tested that make it as Best Buys – and it achieves good reliability and customer scores in our annual survey across all the products in this category.”
“It has made impressive advances over the last few years with an array of Best Buys across a range of products, including TVs, Blu-ray Players and Soundbars. It’s a worthy winner of the Audio-Visual Which? Award.”
Andy Mackay, UK Commercial Director of Consumer Electronics adds: “What makes us so proud of this award is that it is voted for by Which? readers and the in-house Which? experts, who put consumers first – something that is very important to LG.
“Our 2013 audio-visual products offer consumers an intuitive and easy to use and experience, especially with our 2013 Smart platform which comes with a unique Magic Motion Remote. We look forward to this being the first of many awards within this category, especially given the great line-up prepared for 2014.”
